About bookaball
bookaball is an online SaaS platform for padel and other racket sports, offering sports venues the tools they need to boost occupancy rates and maximise revenue. Launched in 2021 as an in-house booking application for padel, it has since evolved into a platform with over 180,000 users across two European countries, with plans for further expansion across Europe.
The platform comprises two key components:
  • The Player App, where players can book courts, purchase memberships, register for events, join open matches, and more.
  • The Admin Portal, where clubs manage their facilities. This includes viewing orders, reservations, and user profiles, as well as setting up voucher campaigns and dynamic pricing. Clubs are fully supported in making their bookings available and managing them seamlessly.
What you’ll do
As the new Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in onboarding sports clubs to the bookaball SaaS platform.
Based out of our Amsterdam office, you’ll frequently be on the road visiting sports clubs. With your deep understanding of the racket sports market, you’ll be able to convince these clubs to adopt bookaball as their go-to platform for club management. Your focus will primarily be on larger clients with multiple locations, such as sports club chains, though smaller clubs will also turn to you for collaboration opportunities.
In this role, you’ll also act as a networker, identifying opportunities, representing bookaball at events, and building valuable connections within the sports industry. Beyond closing deals, you’ll take charge of comprehensive account management: from building strong relationships to optimising the customer experience. You’ll guide new clients through onboarding and ensure existing partners remain satisfied and make the most of their potential.
In short, you will be the driving force behind the growth of our platform and our connection with customers!
Responsibilities
  • Signing up new clients to bookaball.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Keeping records of administrative tasks such as sales figures and other results.
  • Discussing changing client needs and assessing the quality of their relationship with our company.
  • Preparing and following up on proposals.
  • Conducting market analyses and monitoring industry developments and trends.
  • Providing input to the Product Team to help prioritise new developments.
Requirements
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Enthusiastic about being on the road and building relationships.
  • Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a significant plus, as bookaball also has clients in Germany.
  • A customer-oriented mindset.
  • Strong social and communication skills.
  • Experience with SaaS and its commercialisation is a plus.
